Performance of the 2021 Camry 

One great thing about the Toyota Camry is all the ways you can configure this car to give you the exact type of performance you want. While all the options will give you smooth driving and handling, you can choose for a more efficient build or added control when driving.

First, let’s look at what comes standard. The 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that sits under the hood of the Toyota Camry produces 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. It also gets an EPA-estimated 28 city/39 highway MPG when paired with the standard front-wheel drive (FWD) system.¹

You can switch out the FWD system and choose to go with a configuration that is equipped with the available all-wheel drive (AWD) system if you’d like to have added traction when driving during a rainstorm. You can also switch out the engine for the available hybrid powertrain. With this, the 2021 Camry is able to get up to an EPA-estimated 51 city/53 highway MPG.¹
